Frequently asked questions
What do I get in the free consultation?
These appointments will be with one of our highly qualified psychotherapists. You can use the time to ask questions, check out any concerns, and explore what might be possible in psychotherapy. There is no obligation to book an appointment, and we won’t be trying to ‘sell’ you our services. But we will happily discuss what we can and can’t do so that you can decide if we feel like a good fit for you. You can book a free consultation through our Client Portal.
How do regular appointments work?
Most of our psychotherapists will be expecting to see their clients on a regular basis, but exactly when that is is down to you. Our Client Portal will always have our current availability for booking your next appointment with your psychotherapist, so you can choose what works best for you.
How do I pay?
You pay for your appointments as you book them, so there are no surprise bills or invoices, and no costly subscriptions to keep track of. You can pay using any major UK debit or credit card.
What actually happens in psychotherapy sessions?
This is actually difficult to answer, because it will be different for everyone. In very general terms, you will be talking with your psychotherapist. But this is more than ‘just’ talking. You will be engaging in a therapeutic relationship, which is designed and intended to be for your benefit. This could be to help change some feelings, make decisions, develop understanding, as well as promote personal growth. There is also more information in our Assumptions and Expectations.
